Find a Recipe

Hello! I’m Peta

I have the fondest memories of my childhood cooking pikelets with my grandma every Sunday morning. I loved looking through all her cookbooks and picking what recipes to cook next. These moments were where I developed my love of cooking.

During the holidays I would spend my days cutting out recipes from magazines and sticking them into my homemade cookbooks. I would spend hours and hours writing recipes into my little notebook and couldn’t wait to cook them for my friends and family.

Now as a mum of 4, I spend many hours in the kitchen with my kiddies. Our days are full of cooking family favourites, trying new recipes and food, bonding over delicious successes, laughing about hilarious disasters and having a whole lot of fun along the way.

I have created Mixing with Kids with the hope that you too will be able to create your own special memories. My aim is that these recipes and the time you spend together as a family in the kitchen will be treasured, and will help develop or continue a lifelong love of food and cooking.

Happy Mixing!

Condensed Milk BiscuitsThese biscuits are a great way to use up a tin and make a large batch of delicious biscuits. There are lots of similar recipes around the internet that add an egg or 1+ cup of sugar. These biscuits have neither. There is no need to add any additional sugar to these. The condensed milk and sprinkles is plenty.
